A way to contact people who left the scene
Developments in recent years have shown that, in addition to the more intense nature of incidents, bystanders are taking action themselves by transporting the injured to hospitals, providing local victim support and offering shelter. Actions that have saved lives.
Quite often, most people have already left the disaster site before emergency services arrive. Either because they were provided help, were traumatized or were witness to the event. Up until now, there was no way for authorities to systematically contact this group. To address this, the self-registration application was developed by BPREPARED.
This application collects data from individuals who have immediately left the incident area, ensuring they can be reached for aftercare, witness testimonies and/or claim support.
Each registered individual receives a certificate with a unique QR code. The code allows them or emergency medical services to access their personal file when scanned, facilitating further assistance and support.
